Harold Burridge, 19 years of age, was indicted on two charges of having indocently assaulted a girl at Matarawa. Mr. Myers appeared ac Crown Prosoculoi, and Mr. "Wilford was counsel for accused. Tho jury retired at 1.20 p.m., and at 2.45 p.m. they returned a verdict of guilty of in decent assault, with a strong recommendation to mercy. Scntsnee was deferred until Monday next, at 10.30 a.m. Kichard Joseph Hicks and William Frederick Henderson, both young men, wero indicted on a charge of having attempted to procure abortion. Mr. Myers appeared as Crown Prosocutor, and Mi. Wilford was counsel for accused. (Left sitting.)
