Wo aio informed that the receipts did not bslanco the expenditure of the tour, but that the losu was much less than was finticipatod whon the guarantee was given. Mrs. Prouse is to be congratulated upon the public spirit that actuated hor enterprise which resulted in the tour of the orchestra. Complimentary references to hor liberal -spirit wero made at a supper given to tho players by Mrs. Prouse in Auckland at the conclusion of the final concert. In a speech at tho supper Mr. John Prouso said that ho had sung in London with accompaniments by some of tho leading orchestras, but none hnd given him more pleasure in their work than the Exhibition Orchestra had given him.
