Sir Howard .Vincent, Conservative member of Parliament for Sheffield Central, announces that tho Hadfield Steel Foundry lias introduced a new projectile which will pierce any armour. (The race between armour and projectiles has been a long-fought one. Now one side, now the other, claims the lead. Latterly the tandoncy had seemed to be in favour of armour.) FOR SEALING MAIL BAGS. ADELAIDE, This Day. Mr. Morley, of the Taxation Office, has invented an oflcctive contrivance for closing and scaling mail-bags. Its adoption would save the Commonwealth between £10,000 and £15,000 spent annually on wax ariu string. (This invention was fully described in a recent issue of the Post.)
