SUPPORTED BY LONDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. TAXATION OF MANUFACTURES. [PBBS9 ASSOCIATION.! LONDON, 22nd March. At a srkcial meeting of the London Chamber of Commerce it was resolved, by a large majority, that the fiscal system was no longer suitable to the needs of the country. The Chamber Tecommsnded the commercial union of the Empire on a preferential basis, and also the raising of a portion of the revenue on foreign manufactures in order to count-sract unfair competition. On the demand of the freetraders 'for a poll, the whole Chamber agreed to the recommendations.
