SALE OF SOUTH KILBIRNIE SECTIONS
At Messrs. W. H. Morrah and Co.'6 ■ auction rooms, Willis-street, last evening, there w«is a large attendance of the pablic for the sale of forty-one sections at Kilbirnie. Bidding was brisk for some of the eections. Twenty sections were sold as under: —
Of the balance of twenty-one sections, nine were withdrawn from sale so as to allow of Kome improvements being finished, and twelve were not sold, and are now in the auctioneers' hands for private sab.
The registration of the Auckland Provincial Licensed Victuallers' Industrial Union of Employers has been cancelled. Cancellation of the registration of the following unions is also contemplated by the department unless they "show cause" : — Napier Plumbers' Union, Ohinemuri Carters, and Carriers' Union, and the Southland Bakers' Union. Mr. and Mrs. 11. Cook, of Karori, left by the s.s. Mararoa last night for a holiday in the South Island. Mr. Lecce, of the Boot Emporium, 79, Willis-street, announces a special »alo. Mestrg.
