Tho Minister for Mines yesterday visited Ross, where ho was intcrviowod willi roforonco to obtaining' variation of tho terms of tho subsidy for tho draining: of tho Rosa deep levels. Tho Minister roplied that ho would adhere to tho torms agreed upon some yoars ago ; namely, to give £15,000 to any company spending at Toast £35,000 and complying with tho conditions laid down by tho department's officers.
