The newspaper Figaro reports that Daniel Asiris, a French contractor, has bequeathed a million pounds to tho Pasteur Institute. THE IMPERIAL INSTITUTE. LONDON, 6th February. Mr. Winston Churchill considers that tho Imperial Institute— the principal work of which is to display and illustrate the natural re&ources and industries of the colonies and India., to promote by scientific and technical investigation the commercial utilisatipn of the raw materials of the Empire; and to supply full information concerning the colonies and dependencies of the Empire and their resources — ought to increasingly bocomo a great sample store of colonial product*.
