THE DAY'S BAY CHUTE.

The evening excursions to Day's Bay are growing in popularity. Last night the Duchess took over 500 people from town, and a good number went from Seatoun by the Countess. The weather was favourable, and tho outing was thoroughly enjoyed. "Demos," the M-ell-known trick cyclist, repeated the feat of riding his machine down the water chute enveloped in flumes, and taking a somersault into the artificial lake at the bottom of tJie incline. The performance was a thrilling one, and it was carried out with even greater success than on the previous occasion. The water chute and the steam riding gallery erected in tho pavilion grounds were well patronised during the evening. Tho Ferries Company will run another excursion to-morrow night, when " Demos " will give his third exhibition.
