FOUND DROWNED.

The body of a man named Henry Charles Cooper, who lived with his parents in Ellice-street, was found on the Evans Bay beach yesterday. Deceased left his home at 6.30 yestetday morning, and nothing more was heard of him until his body was found by a body. Deceased had his boots and socks oS and his trousers on, one leg turned up. The boots and socks were found about 100 yards from the body ■ on a rocky poinjt between the Miramar Wharf and South Eilbirnie. The water at the point is deep and it is surmised that deceased fell off the rocks whilst bathing his feet and was drowned. Deceased was 35 years of age. At different times he' had been employed as a canvasser, and until a week ago was employed at a billiard saloon at the Foresters' Hall, in Lower Torystreot. An inquest was arranged for this aft&rnoon.
