[BT THLEGRAPn. — FfiKSS ASBOCIATIOW.3 DUNEDIN, 20th December. The first wool salo of the Dunedin season was held to-day, when 9*61 bales were Bubxnittod,_ a record for the first sale of tho season. Competition was very spirited, and tho prices realised were from 7£ per cent, to 10 per cent, in advance of tho best sale last season. Tho I instalment of tho "Wilden clip forward, comprising: 100 bales, averaged 14d, ;. whilst 290 bales of whole fleece wool from Teviot 6tation averaged Is Id. Tho range of prices for tho sale was — Half-bred lljd to lSd, crossbred 10£ dto 13id, three-quar-tor-bred 9d to ll^d, merino 9Ad to 12£ d, first pieces 9JUI to lljd, extra light pieces to lljd, Escond pieces 7d to 9d.
