ENTERTAINMENTS, ETC.

RICKARDS'S VAUDEVILLE COMPANY. Ail arrangements for, the forthcoming season of Mr. Harry Rickards's Vaudeville Company, which commences to-morrow evening at the Opera ■• House, have now been completed. Ihe company is playing tnig evening at Palmerston North, and will arrive, in Wellington to-morrow at noon. The complicated nature of the act of Brinn, the juggler, may be judged from the fact that sue men are engaged to assist tho performer during hia turn. Tho weight of the cannons handled by him almost like paper balls is said to be immense. Seymour and Dunre's act is also said to be of an interesting nature. Seymour's impersonation of a Chinaman is spoken of as being very clever, and his athletic performance intrepid and entertaining. A-great/aeal is expected of Little Cliff, a lad of only fourteen years, whose reputation as a comedian rivals that of Little Tich, who»e Australian season was so phenomenally successful. Other performers are Misses Nellie Kilburn, Nita- Leete, Baby Watson, and Fred Bluett. A new series of animated nic turea will also be introduced. With such a combination of artists a good season is anticipated. The box plan at the , Dresden is rapidly filling up.
