HUTT RAILWAY.
TO THB EDITOH Sir, — The suggestion of Mr. G. London, Mayor of Petone, on the deputation to tho Minister of Railways to havo a train to leave Te Aro at 5.5 p.m. is all right; but, on behalf of about a hundred workers at Kaiwarra and Ngahaurnnga, whose homes are at the Hutt and Petone, I protest emphatically against the proposal that the said train should not stop at wayside stations. These men arc on the platforms at 5.10, and if the Minister should be weak enough to adopt the above suggestion, I do not doubt in the least that a hundred lusty throats will nightly consign him to perdition. — 1 am, etc., HUTT RESIDENT. Lower Hutt, 18th September. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Tho Mayor of Petone. wants a train put on at 5.10 p.m. to relievo the 5.42 train, and run right through to Petone. I am sure the extra train is a necessity, but what about the men at Kaiwarra and Ngahauranga? Are we to' stand by nnd see the train pass and writ till half-past five, as wo have to do now? Run the train by all means, bub stop it at all stations and givo us a show as well as the town workers. — I am etc., FAIR PLAY. Lower Hutt 17th September.
