PERSONAL WAITERS.
Mr. A. L. Stanford, Stipendiary Magistrate at Wanganui, has been granted leave of absence on account of ill-health. -Mr. E. do Courcey Clarke, one of the masters at the Auckland Grammar School, has been appointed to a position on the staff of the Government Geologist. •Mr. H. Conll, of Coull, Culling, and Co., who is coming to Wellington to manage the firm's business in this city, received a memento of the office and factory employees' esteem when leaving Dunedin last week. Mrs. Kate Kelly, for many yearn a member of tho drapery firm of Warnock, Kelly, and Adkin, died at the residence of her son, Mr. J. D. Kelly, on Sunday evening. Thirty year* ago, Mrs. Kelly came over from Melbourne to take charge of Messrs. Kirkcaldie and Stains's show-rooms, and she has lived in Wellington ever since. Her husband, Mr. J. F. Kelly, died some years ago. She was 66 years of are.
