Moderate to strong from same direction elsewhere during next 12 hours; strong to gale from southward after that time. • Barometer.— Fall again soon ab all places north of KalkoU[a and Hokitika, but rising alter from 12 to 16 hours; rise, slowly all other places. gca. Considerable on all -western coast and on cast ooa»t northward of East Cope and between Oastlepoint and Kaikoura; moderate elsewhere. Tides.— High on western coast of liorth Island; good on eastern coast of both Islands; moderate on west coast ot South Island Rain is probable generally. Warning signal for northerly galo is exhibited at Cape Maria Van, Dfcmen, Tiritirl, and East Cape, for westerly gale will be shown at those place* after sunrise; signal for westerly gale l» exhibited at Canes Campbell, Foulwind, Farewell Spit, and Nuggets.
