NOTICE iR hereby given that under tho powers conferred by "Tho Municipal Corporation Act, 1900," and clauses 37, 38, 39, 40, of "Tho Rating Act, 1894," the Council of the Borough of Petone will, at a Special Meeting to be held on FRIDAY, 28th SEPTEMBER, 1906, make and levy tho following Rates for the period commencing Ist day of April, 1906, and ending 31st March, 1907, viz. : — (a) A General Rate for the general purposes of tho Borough of One Penny and Five-eighths of a Penny in tho Pound Sterling on the unimproved value of all the rateable property within tho Borough _of Petone, as shown on tho valuation roll now in force. Notico is also given that the Council intends to levy and collect a Speoial Rato of One-sixth (l-6d) of a Penny in the Pound Sterling on tho unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough, the samo being a portion of tho annually recurring rato struck and pledged to securo tho payment of Interest and Sinking Funds of the Street Improvement Loans of £2549 17s and -.7000, such pate being duo and payable on tho dates fixed on thai bohalf.
