NOTICE iR hereby given that under tho powers conferred by "Tho Municipal Corporation Act, 1900," and clauses 37, 38, 39, 40, of "Tho Rating Act, 1894," the Council of the Borough of Petone will, at a Special Meeting to be held on FRIDAY, 28th SEPTEMBER, 1906, make and levy tho following Rates for the period commencing Ist day of April, 1906, and ending 31st March, 1907, viz. : — (a) A General Rate for the general purposes of tho Borough of One Penny and Five-eighths of a Penny in tho Pound Sterling on the unimproved value of all the rateable property within tho Borough _of Petone, as shown on tho valuation roll now in force. (b) Under tho provisions of "The ■ Rating Act, 1894," and section 103 of "Tho Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," a uniform aiinual Sanitary Feo of Eleven Shillings and Threopenca (lls 3d) per houso served, will bo levied in lieu of a sanitary rate.
