Owing to alarmist reports concerning tha health of the Princess Royal (Duchess of Fife, eldest daughter of King Edward) it is officially announced that she never completely recovered from a severe attack of influenza last spring. Three weeks ago the Princess contracted a. chill accompanied by nigh fever and considerable weakness. Complications arose necessitating an operatioh, which was performed last Monday. The Princess bore the operation well, and is making satisfactory progress, though it -will be .was yftela beforo; she & coaYafescent.
