Mr. U. W. M'Burnej-, purser of the HuudartParVer steamer Victoria, has been, transferred, to the Wimmera, and lite place on the Victoria haa been taken by Sir. Campbell, of the Zealandia. Air. M'Burney is proceeding to Sydney as purser of the, Zealandia, and on arrival there goes over to the Wimmera. It is announced in the New Zealand Gazette that *. blaok moortng-buoy has been placed off the mouth of the Wairau river, for the purpose of heaving vessels off the bar should they ground at any time. The buoy lies in three and^a half fathoms of water a'fc low water springs, and bears from the shallow ■part of the bar J1.N.F.., distant 130 fathoms, ami from flag-stall north by west, distant one mile.
