THE DOG SHOW.

» The twentieth, annual show of the Wellington Kennel Club was continued in the Drillshed yesterday and to-day, when public patronage was again large. The show will be open to-night for the last time. The quality and number of the exhibits continues to be subject of widespread congratulations. A byecompetition was held yesterday as result of Mr .L. Blundtell's blue roan cocker spaniel having been mistakenly placed in the miscellaneous class Mr. Blundell yesterday issued a friendly challenge to the owners of the blue roan cockers shown in the class in which his dog should have been placed by the management (open class for cocker spaniels), and tne judge (Mr. C. Court Rice) placed the .competitors as follows : — Mr. L. Blundell's "Papanm Nut" 1, Mr. W. E. Leversedge's "Papanui Prince" 2, Mr. A. H. Sutclifiie's "Linton Laddie" 3. This result, however, cannot be taken cognisance of by the Kennel Club.
