____ TARANAKI v. WANGANUI. [UT TELEGRAPH. — PBES3 ASSOCTATIOM. | STRATFORD, 13th September. The representative match Wanganui v. Taranaki was played to-day in splendid weather. In : je first spell play was even. Wanganui was awarded two penalty kicks, which Craig scored from. Shortly after the commencement of the second spell Wanganui obtained a try, the ecore standing 9to nil. Taranaki then livened up and opened with a goal from a penalty. Brilliant play followed, the visitors being run over. Ward scored a try, converted by Hardgrcaves. O'Sullivan then got a try, and soon after Ward again. The latter was also converted by Hardgreaves. Cameron next brilliantly scored, and Ward obtained his third try. Crowley, just on no-side, obtained another try, and the game ended Taranaki 25, Wanganui 9. The visitors fell to pieces in tho latter part of the game. WELLINGTON WEDNESDAY TEAM. MASTERTON, 13th September. The Wellington Wednesday seniors beat the Wairarapa Thursday seniors at Carterton to-day by nine points to throe. A match under Australian game rules will be played at Miramar to-morrow between a Wellington team and a team from H.M.S. Challenger.
