FATAL ACCIDENT.
« [BT TBLEOBAPH. — I'RESS ASSOCIA.TIOJI.I NAPIER, 22nd June. An accident, which resulted fatally, occurred at Hastings this evening. Just as the 5 o'clock train for Napier • was leaving that place an elderly man named William Tait attempted to get on the train while it was moving, and somehow got under a carriage, a portion of the train going over his lower limbs and crushing both legs below the knee. He was taken to Napier Hospital, -where he died about 8.30 p.m.
