Alfred Baldwin, who was seized with a paralytio stroke at the Opera House on Monday night, and was removed to the Hospital for treatment, is to-day reported to be progressing satisfactorily. Mr.^A. T. Bate, who has been on a visit to Australia, returned to Wellington last night by the Waikare. Special sinking and straight talking characterise tho mission being conducted by ,Rev. W. Lockhart Morton in the Baptist Church, Vivian-street.
