FIRE AT PALMERSTON.

♦ (BT TELEGRAPH,— rBZSS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON, This Day. An eight-roomed house in Fitzherbertstreet, in the joint occupation of two families, one being the owner (Mrs". Martin), was destroyed by fire at 1.30 o'clock this morning. Nothing was saved, the inmates escaping in their night apparel. Mrs. Martin's furniture was insured in the Alliance Office for £175, and the house for £200 in the same office. There was a further insurance of £400 in the New Zealand Office. The other occupant (Mr. Lecaldand) was not insured.
