To lafl—Mararoa (8.30 p.m.) and Talune (11.30 p.m.), for Wellington. • WAIRDNA, FROM NEWCASTLE. The Union Company's steamer Watruna arrived in the stream from Newcastle at 8 o'clock last night, and was berthed at the Glasgow Wharf this morning. The vessel left Newcastle •at midday last Saturday, and t had a. rough trip all the way across. Heavy teu broke on board the steamer repeatedly, but she came through without damage. The cargo for New Zealand total* 6000 tons of coal, of which 900 tons are for Wellington, and a, deck load of timber. The warship Pioneer is expected to sail for Napier next week. The steamers Indrtghirt and Rosamond both brought up at the Heads this morning on account of the heavy sea. The Rotoiti left for the Wairau bar last night to tow the steamer Waihi off the beach. The sea was too heavy lor the vessel to do any work, so »he went on to Picton to land men and gear. The Penguin will probably go over to the Waihi to-morrow morning. . The Taviuni, which left Westpnrt for Wtllington this morning, has 1009 tons of coal to land here. The Mapourik* left Westport at 3 o'clock this morning. She should leave Kelson at 4.30 p.m. to-day, and Is due here early to-morrow "some^'anxiety '» being shown in Auckland U to the safety of the. scow Haeremai, thirty d*vs out from Auckland to Wellington. steamer Warrimoo to-day included 1426 sacks oats, 1296 bags potatoes, 3250 coses candles, 560 bags flour, 115 cases fruit. The s*le is announced of the littlo steamer Riwuks, owned by Mr. J. H. Williams, to Mr. H. E. Norgrove, of Picton. The vessel is to bo engaged in the Ficton and Sounds trade.
