ENTERTAINMENTS, ETC. THE ANDERSON DRAMATIC COMPANY.
The second performance of Arthur Jefferson's sensational drama, "The Orphan Heiress," was given by the Anderson Dramatic Company in the Opera House last night, and the play was followed witli the closest attention. Special features of the interpretation of the drama were the clever character delineations by Mr. Harry Diver and Misa Daisy Strathmore, as the two evil geniuses of the story, and good comedy relief -ims furnished by Mr. Frank B«ia and Miss Maisie Maxwell. The scenery was very effective, and the stage management) was excellent. "The Orphan Heiress" is to be repeated for the lash time to-night. To-monow evening the company is to revive another sensational drama, "Tho Ladder of Life," which proved so popular when given under Mr. Anderson's management four years ago. In this play three well-known athletes form tlhe ladder of life for the' rescue of the heroine. The athletes are still with the company.
