SYDNEY PAPERS' COMMENTS.
(Received June 13, 9.58 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Sydney Morning Herald, in a leading article on the poJtical situation in 2s ew Zealand, says: — Mr. Hall- Jones forms a stop-gap, but Sir Joseph Ward ■will be the inevitable successor of Mr. Scddon. His long association with the late Prime Minister mast count for much, but if Mr. Reeves would return to politics he might be a formidable competitor. The question naturally arises whether Sir Joseph Ward can carry the burden laid down, to the limit which seemed to have been set only by Mr. Seddon's continued willingness to bear it, had he lived. It may b<; that hia death will hasten the appearance of a new force-^-the organised Labour Party, and that Sir Joseph Ward will find himself sooner or later face to face with the three-party i system? j
