THE EDUCATION BILL.
LONDON, 12th June. The discussion of the Education Bill in committee was continued in the House of Commons yesterday. An amendment by Sir W. R. Anson, Unionist member for Oxford University, to compel local authorities to take over voluntary schools, was defeated by 313 votes to 133.
