SUPERANNUATION BILL
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION, I AUCKLAND, 12th June. At ,the meeting of the Auckland Harbour -Board yesterday the Finance and Legal Committee reported that it had considered letters from the Harbours Association regarding tlje Superannuation Bill, ■ and reepmmende'd that the whole question be 'considered by the board. The Hon. E. Mitchelson (chairman) said he took very strong exception to superannuation at the present time, and he therefore, moved, '*That the board cannot see its way to support the Bill." -In his opinion, the officers of all, boards in the colony -were receiving, on an average, a. very mucU higher >'yate of pay than was', received in commercial offices, and, that 1 being so, he faikd'to see that the board should bVcalled upira to contribute such a large sfipi. The' motion was carried, unanimously. <>•<"■
