Another miner has been found alive in the Courrieres mine, which was wrecked by an explosion on 10th March, with appalling loss of life. ACCUSATIONS AGAINST THE COMPANY. THE MINISTER'S REPLY. PARIS^ 4th April. Speaking in the Chamber of Deputies, M. Basley, leader of the Miners' Union, alleged that the recent disaster at the Courrieres mine was due to the rapaoity and ignorance of the company. M. Barthon, Minister for Works, promised to forfeit the company's rights if enquiry showed that it was responsible.
