■Wind. — Strong from between west and southwest and south at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan; strong to gale from between north-west and west nnd couth elsewhere. Barometer. — Riso everywhere. Sea.— Considerable on all Western coast. Tides. — High on western coast northward of Cape Farewell; good tbence southward and on eastern coast ; moderate and poor tides all other ports. Warning signal for westerly gale is ex hibited at Eiust Cape and Capes Foulwind, Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point. Rain is probable southward of Kast Cape and Itunukuu. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOCKS. Slowly rising barometer northward of Tauranga and Raglan, but there has been very little movement elsewhere. Moderate -winds, principally from the westward, have been experienced generally, and rain boa fallen in parts of the North Island, but there has been frott at Tophouse. B» A.
