REDUCTIONS TO BE MADE. No official report lias been given out as to the decision arrived at by the conference of general managers of flro insurance companies doing business in New Zealand. It has, , however, transpired thnfc reductions were_ made in regard to Certain classes of risks, and the assumption in that these reductions have been made to enable tho companies to 'compete with the State Fire Insurance Department.
