A delivery of letters, usually delivered by lctter-camcre, will tako place over the public counter, Chief Post Office, between the hours of 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, 23rd December. Mails for despatch on Monday, 25th December, will close at 6 a.m. Tuesday, 26th December (Boxing Day), the Post Office will be open in all it* branches (except Money-order and Savings-bank), between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m. only. AH country mails will be despatched by both the early trains aa usual. The next best despatch for Continent ol Europe and United Kingdom will be via San FrancUoo, -closing at the Chief Poet Office, Wellington, on Thursday, 28th inst., at 6.30 a.m. (due London 27th January, 1B06). Money orders for despatch by this mail must be procured before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, ZYth inst. All registered correspondence and parcels for United States must be presented before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 27th inst. Unless otherwise specified, rcgiitered letter! must be handed in and money orden obtained one hour hefore, and parcels-post mails thirty minutes before, the ordinary mail dosei. J. A. HCTTOK.
