AN APPEAL.
TO THE EDITOR Sir, — On behalf of a respectable and deserving woman, with four children, who has been cruelly abandoned by a, heartless husband and left in needy circumstances, we beg to make an urgent appeal through your columns to tho generous people of Wellington for a little monetary assistance to put her in a position to earn a livelihood for herself and family, and so brighten what must otherwise prove a dark Christmas. We can assure your many readers that the case is one worthy of practical sympathy, and should information bo required we will be most happy to give it. Any donations forwarded to either of the undersigned will be gratefully received, and used to the best advantage. — We are, etc. JOHN WALKER, Vicar oi' St. Thomas's Church. GEORGE, BOND, Minister Trinity Church. Newtown, 13th December.
