ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
STAFF REORGANISATION" PROPOSED. A meeting of the Onalow Borough Council was held on Saturday evening. The Mayor (Mr. R. B, Wjlliunw) presided, and the following Councillors wero in attendance:— Messrs. Neoly, Lyuneborg, Holdsworth, Nash, .Kiornan, Aplin, Rounthwaite, Larkin, and Cavanagh. A report, .particulars of which appear in another column, was received from the Electrical Construction Company with reference to a tramway Hyatem for tho Borough. It was decided to pave tho water tables in Wade-street, and to iiajry out lino work as proposed by t,lic foreman, except the No. 5 tunnel. Tho work of repairing Kilmister's-road was authorised, pro> vided certain adjacent propcrty-ownoM carry out certain fencing work. It was decided to attend to the entrance to tho Wadestovgi School ; to oiler Mr. Janes £176 for land for road widening purposes, and to prosecute a man for opening up 9 road in connection with drainage work, without a permit. Tho tender of Mr. W. J, Norris for tho construction of a brick culvert near the Khundallnh-road was accepted. Councillor Rounthwaite gave notice of motion to rescind the resolution. In reply to a communication from tho Health Department, the clerk was in» structed to state that Mr. Mestnycr hod the matter of drainage and sanitation In hand. It was decided to complelo tho pur* chase of a strip of land at Khandnlliih fin 1 widening tho Station-road, and in Holt of sections 17 and 18 on Coell't'otid, Wadestown, to tako an adjoining two acres for a metaj quarry. Accounts amounting to £309 6s Oil were passed for payment. - On the' motion of Councillor Rotin* thwaile, a resolution passed at tho ordinary meeting 'of tho. Council on lliu 12(<li August last, appointing oVßorough Engineer, was revoked.
