The balance-sheet of the South British Insurance Company for the year ended 31st August, shows a profit in the' revenue account of £50,770 13s Id, after adding £10,000 to reinsurance fund. The unallotted shares realised £44,783 0s tid, of which £35,372 has been carried to tke capital account ; £30,000 has been added to tho reserve fund. The balance carried forward after payment of a dividend of 2s 6d per share for the second half-year is £30,802 10s 7d.
