Delegates at receat meetings of the Trades Council have complainsd of the inaccuracy of the state-of-trade reports which appear in each month's issue of the Labour Journal. Up till six weeks ago, when he went into the Hospital to undergo a painful operation, Mr. Deehan, who was about 80 years of age, was employed as a clerk, and lived an active hie. A native ot King's County, Ireland, he came out to Australia during tho days of tho gould rushes, and from tho Bendigo field followed the rush to New Zealand's gold coast.
