LABOUR DISPUTES.
RIVET-MAKERS ON STRIKE. TROUBLE WITH COTTON SPINNERS. ' [press association.! (Received August 7, 8.23 a.m.) LONDON, 6th August. The whole of the rivet-makero in Staffordshire and Worcestershire have struct, the employers refusing to grant an advance of 15 per cent, in wages. The Committee of the Master Cotton Spinners' Federation has decided to resist the operatives' demand for a five per cent, increase. The Bolton masters have given notice of a five per cent, reduction. It is feared that a strike is inevitable.
