When the Tailoressea' Union disrpnto came before the Arbitration Court this morning, the members of .the Court expressed tho opinion that tho assistance of experts "was necessary to enable then, to deal wit/h the log. After discussion the Court suggested adjournment till tomorrow, the parties to .the dispute to confer meanwhile. The President said one of tho snbjects that should be discufsed in the interests of all parties was wh&thcrr the wage should 6e weekly, daily, or hourly
For having been tho occupier of a factory or workroom, which was unregistered, Wm Hurcomb, who was stated to bt> a fish and skin •cuwr, was to-day fined by Dr. A <M* Arthur, S.M., 10s, •with 7a costs. The same defendant was similarly dealt with on each of two charges of having employed a boy under •the ago of sixteen years without a certificate 36 to time*s.
