ALEXANDRA HOME.

[press association.] LONDON, 17th July. The King and Queen have opened the Alexandra Home at Wimbledon. The Home is for the widows and daughters of deceased army officers. Queen Alexandra, who at the time of the coronation gave £15,000 to the fund, has now donated £3000 more, and given a similar amount to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Families' Association. The money was bequeathed to Queen Alexandra by Mr. Lear, a Liverpool gentleman.
