AKAHURA SAILS FOE NEW ZEALAND.
She head office of the Union Company has given out that the new coastal steamer Arahura, failed for "New Zealand last Thursday. She Is to come to Port Chalmers via Hobart. Captain Lambert is in charge of the vessel, and it is expected that she will 'make the passage in about 60 days. Tlie Arahura is to run in the Wellington , Nelson - West Coast pafftenger and cargo service. At lief steam friil she attained a speed of 15 knots. THE BRITISH MONARCH. Moderate weather was experienced until nearIng the i Australian coast, when a succession of fales was encountered. Big seas swept tho decks, and some of the deck cargo ihiftid, but none of it wa« lost. Shortly after leavinj? Sjdney for Auckland another heavy gals, which lasted about 24 hours, wa3 encountered, being accompanied by high seas. Captain W. P. Wilkrna is in command of the vessel. ??
