A PRISONER'S DESPERATE ACT.
[BY TELEGRAM!.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Reginald Scott, who was arrested on suspicion of stealing money from W. A Williams, storekeeper at Rotorua, while, being conveyed by train from Mqrrinsvillo to Rotorua, jumped between tho carriages and was killed. The body was fearfully mutilated.
