THE ARREST OF W. N. WILLIS.
. ATTEMPT TO QUASH THE'WARRANT. fPKESS ASSOCIATION.! (Received July 15, 10.2 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. Ab the Supreme Court an application was made to quash the warrant against W. N. Willis, whose name has figured prominently in connection with the New South Wales Land Commission. An affidavit by Willis denied that he committed fraud. He asserted that ,the proceedings were taken for the purpose of gaining notoriety. Patrick Reas, in an affidavit, stated that Willis had no interest in the land in question, and thero was no collusion with him. | A third affidavit by John Want declared that Willis's action disclosed no ofFence against the Land Act. The hearing has been adjourned until Monday.
