The Winners, to a man, played well. Allan easily upheld his reputation of being the best wintj-forward in the city, and Reid played a really splendid game at centre-half. Cardale is to bo congratulated upon hh improved form, his stopping and pawing bring very much belter. The Wellingtons were without the services of Preston, their goal-keeper and skipper, who. is unwell. Plimmer came up from tho juniors, and played a very creditable game. Ashboll, the Hickson brothers, Weybourne, and Elliott shono amongst tho United, who, in this contest, suifered the third defeat since they formed The scorers were Hull (2), Allan, and Midgley, for Wellington, and S Hickson (2) and Elliott for X'nited. Mr. Falconer was in command. KARORI v. VIVIAN. Karori .won this game by two goals, both of which were secured by Campbell, to one, shot by Donovan. Hockey was moro or loss out of the question, as ihe AMvians wero two men short. Karori have not yet struck form, and they threw awny several good chances on Saturday through sheer muddle. The losing team showed the better combination. Hoby, at full-back, played a fine game for Vivian The game, which was played on No. 3 ground, was controlled by Mr. Morpoth. VICTORIA COLLEGE v. WAfWETU This match gave victory to the Collegians by 3 goals to 2, Proilso (2) and Smith scoring for the winners, while Pringle twice "gut there" for tho Reds. Tho game was plnyed anyhow, and presented tlie poorest hookey seen this year. Mr. Bridge earned the whistle. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Kafori Vivian by 4 to nil. Thnnidrm beat Wesley by 3 to nil. Wellington beat Victoria College by 3 to 2. V.M.C.A. beat Waiwetu by 8 to 1. THIRD CLASS. United defeated Thorndon by 4 to 3. Victoria College A defeated Victoria College B by 14 to nil. Karori defeated Wellington by 2 to 1.
