Cameron, a Hastings cyclist, on 1 Saturday morning commenced an attempt on the road record between Wellington and Napier. He left Wellington shortl> after 6 o clock on Saturday morning, ami his time to Carter-ton was 3 hours 45 minutes. Tho roads were bad nil the way, but Cameron never left hii machine. He wits pedalling so fast that his "pacer" was left far behind, and eventually luined back.
