Thoso who favour autumn for sowing early peas, may get in a few lines of a dwarf kind. In dry places, and thoso which are worm and well sheltered, it is advisable to sow ; but in exposed, windy places, it in useless—they nro too lung subjected to imlcmeucy of the weather to survivo in any but'u battered condition. Asparagus should bo cut down; cover tho bed with a layer of rich stable manure to be washed in by winter rains.
