SUNDAY MORNING TRAMS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Residents along the express route would be obliged to the Tramway Engineer if he could see his way to cease running Sunday, morning cars. We have quite enough noise during the week days and Sunday afternoons to make us long for the short, period of rest hitherto obtained on Sunday mornings. Looking at the question from a business view, surely it cannot' pay to get up steam at the power-house for the two special cars called tor by a few passengers out for a holiday jaant on the Sabbath. It is wrong to study their convenience at the expense of the engineers, stokers, motormen, and other employees required to be on dnty for this purpose, to say nothing of the annoyance caused by running the cars at an unseasonable time. — I am, etc., • ' COTJRTBNAY.
