THE CAMPAIGN IN MANCHURIA.
RENNENKAMPF'S VICTORY. A THOUSAND JAPANESE LOSSES. (Received December 7, 8.34 a.m.) LONDON, 6th December. Mukden advices state that General Rennenkampf inflicted a loss of one thousand on the Japanese, who were attempting to_ outflank the Russian Division. RUSSIAN FORCE EXPELLED. MACHINE GUNS USED. LONDON, oth December. ' Last Saturday the Japanese expelled from the village oTKuchiatzu a strong Russian force, with machine guns. The Japanese casualties numbered twelve, and those of the Russians thirty. A force of Cossacks surprised Japanese who were shelling Putiloff (lately known as "Lonely Hill"), but were compelled to retire after an unsuccessful attempt to take a battery. RAILWAY LINE BLOWN UP. ! (Received December 7, 7.37 a.m.) LONDON, 6th December. Chunchuses blew up a portion of the railway line between ivharbin and Mukden. A train had a narrow escape. The damage has been repaired. RED CROSS DEPOT BURNED. (Received December 7, 7.37 a.m.) LONDON, 6th December. A large Red Cross depot at Mukden has been burned.
