GREAT LAND AUCTION SALE. I PETONE SHOW GROUNDS. PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! I PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! I PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS'. PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE SHOW GROUNDS! PETONE ! PETONE ! PETONE ! PETONE! PETONE! PETONE! THE MOST PROGRESSIVE MANUFACTURING TOWN IN THE COLONY. THE GREATEST SALE OF BUDLDING SECTIONS SINCE THE TOWN OF PETONE WAS ESTABLISHED. AN EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY FOR INVESTMENT OR SPECULATION. IN THE EXCHANGE LAND MART, No. 84, Lambton-quay, Wellington. ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, DEC. 14, 1904, at 7.30 o'olock. MACDONALD, WILSON AND CO. (in conjunction with Messrs. DWAN BROS.) are favoured with instructing from the Proprietors to sell by public auction as aljove — 1 _IQ (° NE HUNDRED AND -| a o I.'ZO FORTY-THREE) ±tfc«S GRAND BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDING SECTIONS, being the sub-division of tho well-known Show Grounds, situated in the Town of Petone, and forming portion of the boundary between the Towns of Potone and the Hutt. The One Hundred and Forty-three Building Sections to be offered at this sale are, in many respects, superior to the subdiviI sions we havo submitted for many years past. A largo number of them front Cubastreot, the main highway between Petone and the Hutt, and the futuro chief business thoroughfare of the two suburbs. The sections are absolutely flat, no expense being required for filling-in or excavation prior to building. Being situated between the Towns of Petone and the Hutt, they will form the nucleus of a new Business Centro of immense importance to the large number of residents who have already located themselves in and about Alicetown, and immediately opposite tho property. On each of the sections a splendid flow of artesiau water can be obtained, and on several of the sections pipes have been put down! and the water is now flowing. Tho Borough of Petone is now devising extensive improvements in the way ot drainage, water supply, etc., so as to make the borough an up-to-date object-lesson to other municipalities throughout the colony. Both tho Hutt Borough Council and the Petone Borough Council's Engineers are also preparing the plans of a scheme for diverting and carrying off all surface water from the hills. Arrangements are being made for a splendid service of now Motor Car 'Busses between the Railway Stations of Petone and tho Hutt. These Motor Car 'Bueses are said to be far superior in comfort and convenience to the Electric Cars, as they can go anywhere and stop anywhere, and tho cost of carriage is far below that of tho Electric Tram Car Services. The rapid development of tho Town of Petone, and of the lands immediately surrounding it, is one of "the wonderful surprises' to thoso unacquainted with the forces that are daily at work compelling it to forge, ahead. The straightening of the railway line between Wellington and Potone, now rapidly proceeding, will ieduco the time occupied in tho journey to eleven minutes, and be no mean factor in adding to Petone's present attractions either for business, residence, or the inI vestment of capital. 1 The Town of Petono stands absolutely unique in the history of tho colony in this respect. For the past twenty years every man who has invested £100 in the purchase of its lands has increased his original capital many times. As an example of how quickly money is made, in Petone, wo may instance this recent fact. In the month of August, 1903, we sold a small block of land not far from the Show Grounds for £3050. Last month we re-sold it for £8268, a profit to the buyers of £5218 within fifteen months. No one having a few pounds to spare should hesitate at this stage in investing in these Within a very brief period every haif-acre between the Towns of Petone and the Hutt will be covered with manufactories and residences, and its value I will have increased tenfold. There may be doubts as to the stability I and permanency of improvement in certain parts of the colony. There are nono I as to the advantages and future of all that pertains to Petone and ita surroundings. The Terms of Sale have been fixed on a basis to enable every man of ambition and energy to acquire a Business or a Home I Site. Tho ordinary working man in the days of past years nover had euch a chance. All land sold then had to be paid , for in cash. Land is, after all, a fixed and limited quantity, and you cannot always got it, even at a high price. Do not, therefore, neglect such an opportunity as this. ', The first duty of every man is to own tho house and land occupied by his wife and little ones. The TERMS are :— Ten per cent.
