THE MOST PROGRESSIVE MANUFACTURING TOWN IN THE COLONY.' \ THE GREATEST SALE OF BUDLDING SECTIONS SINCE THE TOWN OF PETONE WAS ESTABLISHED. AN EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUN- • ITY FOR INVESTMENT OR SPECULATION. IN THE EXCHANGE LAND MART, No. 84, Lambton-quay, Wellington. ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, DEC. 14, ISO 4, at 7.30 o'clock. MACDONALD, WILSON AND CO. (in conjunction with Messrs. DWAN BROS.) aro favoured with uistructions from the Proprietors to soil by public auction as above — 1 A*J (ONE HUNDRED AND -« Ao. AtfcO FORTY-THREE) J-4fcts GRAND BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDING SECTIONS, being tho sub-division of the well-known Show Grounds, situated in the Town of Petone, and forming portion of the boundary between the Towns of Potone and tho Hutt. The One Hundred and Forty-three Building Sections to be offered at this salo are, in many respects, superior to the subdivisions wo have submitted for many years past. A largo number of them front Cubastreet, the main highway between Potone and the Hutt, and the future chief business thoroughfares of the two suburbs. The sections are absolutely flat, no expense being required for filling-in or excavation prior to building. Being situated between tho Towns of Petone and tho Hutt, they will form tho nucleus of a new Business Centre of immense importance to the large number of residents who have already located themselves in and about Alicetown, and immediately opposite the property. On each of tho sections a splendid flow of artesian water can bo obtained, and on several of the sections pipes havo been put down and the water is now flowing. The Borough of Petone is now devising extensive improvements in tho way of drainage, water supply, etc., so as to make the borough an up-to-date object-lesson to other municipalities throughout the colony. Both the Hutt Borough Council and the Petone Borough Council's Engineers aro also preparing the plans of a scheme for diverting and carrying off all surface water from tho hills. Arrangements aro being made for a splendid service of new Motor Car 'Busses between tho Railway Stations 'of Pe* one and tho Hutt. These Motor Car 'Basses are said to be far superior in comfort and convenience to tho Electric Cars, as they can go anywhere and stop anywhere, and the cost of carriage is far below that of the Electrio Tram Car Services. The rapid development of tho Town of Petone, and of the lands immediately sur- | rounding it, is one of "the wonderful sur- | prises to thoso unacquainted with the forces that aro dnily at work compelling it to forge ahead. The straightening of i the railway line between Wellington and Potone, now rapidly proceeding, will ieauco tho time occupied in the journey J to eleven minutes, and be no mean factor in adding to Potone's present attractions either for business, residence, or the investment of capital. The Town of Petone stands absolutely unique in the history of the colony in this respect. For the past, twenty years every man who has invested £100 in the puri chase of its lands has increased his original capital many times. As an example of how quickly money is made in Potone, we may instance this recent fact. In the month of August, 1903, wa sold a small block of land not far from the Show I Grounds for £3050. Last month we re-sold I it for £8268, a -profit to the buyers of £5218 within fifteen months. No one having a few pounds to spare should hesitate at this stage in investing in these lands. Within a very brief period every half-acre between the Towns of Petone and the Hutt will be covered with manufactories and residences, and its value will have increased tenfold. There may be doubts as to the stability and permanency of improvement in certain parts of the colony. There aro none as to the advantages and future of all that pertains to Petone and its surrounding?. The Terms of Sale have been fixed on a basis to enable every man of ambition and energy to acquire a Business or a Home Site.
