[BY TELEGEAPH — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. Write were issued on Saturday on behalf of A. G. Hickford, wholesale licensee at Rongotea, claiming £501 damages from the Feilding Star for alleged libel and £100 from C. Palk, district Prohibition organiser, for an alleged slander. The, actions arise out of remarks alleged to have been made by Mr. Palk in Feilding in a debate, and published by the Star.
