BAND CONTEST.
[BY TELEQKAPH — r-RIMS ASSOCIATION.] FEILDING, This Day. The Band Contest Committee met last evening to consider nominations'. Six were reteived, as follows : — Hamilton, Hawera, Dannevirke, Kaponga, Young Men's Institute (Wanganui), and Feilding Bands. It Was decided to extend the time for receiving nominations to the 10th inst., the committee considering that the prize money was too large for such small supportj and unless more bands are nominated the committee will most probably abandon the conltst.
